Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms explain the rules for using wpyelva.com and Yelva plugins. They’re written to be clear. If anything is unclear, email info@wpyelva.com.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Yelva (“we”, “us”). By using this website or a Yelva plugin, you agree to them. If you buy a Pro licence for a business, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for that business.

2. Our plugins and your licence

Yelva plugins are released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL), the same licence as WordPress. The GPL gives you the right to use, study, change and share the plugin code.

A Pro licence is a subscription that gives you access to Pro features, Pro downloads, updates and priority support for the number of websites included in your plan, for as long as your subscription is active.

3. Buying through Freemius

Pro licences are sold by Freemius, Inc., our authorised reseller and merchant of record. When you buy, Freemius’s terms also apply to the payment. Freemius handles payment, invoices, sales tax and VAT. Prices are shown in US dollars, and tax may be added at checkout where the law requires it.

4. Subscriptions and renewals

  • Pro plans are billed once a year and renew automatically at the end of each year, unless you cancel.
  • You’ll get an email reminder before each renewal.
  • You can cancel at any time in your customer account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future renewals, and your Pro features stay active until the end of the year you’ve paid for.
  • If a subscription ends, Pro features stop and the plugin continues as the free version. Your settings are kept.
  • If we change our prices, the new price applies only from your next renewal, and we’ll tell you before it does.

5. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of any payment. See our refund policy.

6. Support

Pro customers get priority email support for help using our plugins and fixing problems with them. Support doesn’t include custom development, setting up third-party services for you, or fixing problems caused by other plugins, themes or hosting, though we’ll always try to point you in the right direction.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Use our website and plugins lawfully.
  • Keep your licence keys and API keys private. A licence is for the number of websites in your plan.
  • You’re responsible for your own website, including keeping backups, and for the AI service accounts you connect, their costs and their terms.
  • If you use Yelva Chat, you’re responsible for telling your visitors about the chat in your own privacy policy and for following the laws that apply to your store.

8. AI answers

Yelva Chat creates answers using the AI services you connect. AI can sometimes be wrong or incomplete. Check your settings and store information, keep important information such as prices and policies correct in your store, and review conversations from time to time. We’re not responsible for the content of AI-generated answers or for decisions made based on them.

9. Third-party services

Our plugins work with services we don’t control, such as WordPress, WooCommerce, AI services and Freemius. Their own terms apply, and we’re not responsible for their availability or changes.

10. Our website content

The text, design, logos and images on this website belong to Yelva. You’re welcome to link to our pages, but please don’t copy our content or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you without asking first. Plugin code is covered by the GPL, as explained above.

11. Changes to our plugins

We regularly improve our plugins. We may add, change or, rarely, remove features. If we remove a major Pro feature you rely on, contact us, and we’ll give you a fair solution, which may include a partial refund.

12. Warranty

We work hard to make our plugins reliable, but software can’t be perfect. Our plugins are provided “as is”, without any warranty except as required by law. This doesn’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.

13. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud.

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using our website and plugins at any time. We may suspend a licence if it’s used in serious breach of these terms, for example if it’s resold or shared publicly. If we do, we’ll explain why.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new date. For important changes affecting customers, we’ll email you before they apply.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please email us. Most problems can be solved quickly.
